A Chilton's technical manual would be worthwhile to know how to work on and repair things like zero emission electric and hybrid vehicles; the Sevcon Global Product Manager in the article has the last name of Chilton.

Very interesting that Sevcon is "recruiting an additional 20 skilled staff" after receiving a 400,000 Pounds grant to develop a new range of controllers for electric and hybrid vehicles.  That is 20,000 pounds per 'skilled staffer', which is not much to prosper with in the state of Massachusetts.

The article says 13 to start with 7 more as the business grows.

Great news, thanks for sharing.
So the gen4 sold 111.000 already! Quite a lot actually.
And it sounds like the next generation will be smaller, more powerful and have more features.

The future is looking good [emoji2] for us EV enthusiasts.

I was debating buying some Sevcon stock, since Zero hasn't done an IPO yet, and was pretty much on the fence until I saw a picture of a pallet jack on Sevcon's website under the "industrial" category. That Saturday I took the cover off the pallet jack we have on our warehouse floor, and sure enough, it's got a Sevcon in it. So does our powered scissor lift. Our forklift is a propane-powered unit, but two out of three ain't bad! I figure that even though the EV market is still small and still developing, industrial markets aren't, and Sevcon is a big player with a good product offering in that space.

My Sevcon stock went up today.   :D
