Title: Bolt electric moped

Here is a link to a story about a new $5K electric moped called the Bolt.  Cute, but not much is said about its performance or range. (The short promotional video is worth watching.):

I visited with the founder of Bolt Motorbikes at the Ferry Building today. He advised he would make minor modifications to the bike, specifically the wiring box and power plug cover that everyone ends up resting up against. He claimed he will have a kickstarter campaign soon. It has a ~1kw batt, weighs around "40#", has cell phone app similar to Zero. More at boltmotorcycles.com. The founder's name is Nathan Jauvtis, PhD, and worked as a designer at Zero for a short period of time. Didn't test ride it, but have a photo with a friend on the bike.
