Hi everybody,
I live in Toronto,Canada
I want to buy a 2011/12 ZERO S , I am very fascinated by these bikes, I have been riding for a few years now and I think these are very cool.
My budget is not high enough for the 2013/14/15 so I am looking for a used 2011/12 model.
Cheers!

abtex, if it's just a matter of saving your pennies for another six months or so, I'd SERIOUSLY recommend doing so until you can step up to at least a 2013 model. 2013 was a real quantum leap year for the Zeros in range and performance.
That said, of course your budget is yours alone, and if another six months' savings isn't going to do it, obviously you have to make the call.
In any event, welcome to the community and enjoy the ride!

A company in CA USA called NORCAL Mastercraft is no longer a Zero dealer and wants to get rid of their old bikes 925 475 8864 they may or may not ship to Canada but might fit your needs

I live near Peterborough and have the same problem, I've decided to hold off until they, 1- up the charger speed 2-make j1772 the standard, unless of course I find a great deal on a 2013+, look on auto trader there are some 2013's in Quebec for under 10k with the 8.5 battery

Hey Ndm - I live in Peterborough as well and have a 2013 S 11.4... Not sure if you have a bike now, but would you be interested in going on some rides? Once the weather shapes up that is...

Ya I would definitely not turn down a chance to ride, I have a vstrom right now but am keeping an eye out for an s/ds 2013 and newer, you must be the zero my brother always sees around town, kinda like snuffalupogus from sesame street, I never see you! Pm me when the snow goes away!

Look on the classifieds there is a xu for 5000. Same range as a 11 s/ds probably even more
If I was you I'd be all over it that is soooooo cheap
If you want it faster change the controller for a size 4 and it will be a fx minus the suspension

BEWARE of NorCal MasterCraft. They advertised the FX motorcycle shock as you mentioned, I bought it and had it shipped. I then opened the box and discovered it was NOT for the FX!!! It was for the older X motorcycle. I called and told them I wanted to have my money refunded and return shipping paid. The young girl who sold this to me said too bad. She then had the nerve to say I was stalking her since I was on the phone for over 15 minutes saying why they must refund my money, since it was their mistake, not mine and why should I have to pay a penalty due to their lack of expertise of selling a misadvertised product. I honestly think this girl has a mental condition. Anyways I had to call back and ask for the owner, which they did not transfer me to. Instead the head manager listened to my issue and instantly refunded my money and sent a prepaid UPS tag for the shock.
With that this was the most HORRIBLE experience I ever had with any company. They don't know what the hell they have nor what it fits. They wasted a good portion of my time fixing their problem. Also they made me feel humiliated, by the young girl, who had disrespect for a customer who had an issue due to their problem.
Again, BEWARE and I would not buy a single thing from these guys.
