I parked next to a Nissan Leaf last night. It was hard to miss because it had HUGE "ZERO EMISSION" banners along both sides of the car. They covered the car between both wheels and from the bottom to the midpoint of the door.
I know car manufacturers like to put "ABS" and "Turbo" badges on, but at least those are usually discreet little trunk logos.
This was obnoxious. I sure hope the guy haggled them down a couple grand for that ugly crap. That would have been a deal-breaker for me.
Am I just an old man? Do people like that sort of garbage? I'm happy my Zero doesn't shout ELECTRIC except for the lack of pipes.

Perhaps it is a 'loaner' car from Nissan and they are using it for advertising as well as for providing transportation for the loanee ??

Sounds like a demonstrator to me. Very common to see cars pasted in slogans over here.

A friend of mine has small signs all over his Leaf to passively inform people of the benefits. Yes, ugly. But it gets the job done and there are now thousands of people who have considered the financial benefits of going electric. He's high mileage and states his annual savings in the thousands on his car.
Personally I want my bike to look awesome, but I wouldn't mind having a sleek sign about it being electric. Especially if it is made of OLED's like Doctorbass!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - I have "zero emission" stickers all over my Zero, My Vectrix, and my Leaf ;-)
