Energica has announced a new model, the Eva, said to be the world's first electric naked superbike. Well Brammo and Zero might disagree, but Energica did give the bike an interesting look and have managed to do a pretty good job of disguising its batteries and motor:

How is that bike Naked? Hell my zero is more naked than that!

I like it!!! It may not have the biggest battery but with CHAdeMO and the way North Carolina is installing them it just won't matter.

Learn something new that I have not met yet.

No kidding! Especially considering the point of a "naked" bike is to show off the engine. With an electric, it's "yeah it's a paint-can with fins. And a box of batteries" so it's quite the contradiction in terms.
I do like the headlight treatment though.
$25K-$28K?? Really? Dang.

My bet is that the Eva sells for over 30K. There is a lot that I like about this bike but Energica really missed the mark on fast charging. Combo J1772? Really? If you search on Plugshare you find that there are a few stations in California and two in Vermont that have the plug for this. The rest of the country is CHAdeMO. Very dissappointing. And it looks like the L2 is only about 3KW. But at least they are thinking about on-board L2 and L3 capability.
