Title: 47 Ronin
Post by: firepower on October 15, 2014, 02:29:06 PM
This is not electric but I like the design,  From the desighners of Buell, lots of good engineering and multiple use parts to save space and weight.

Named after Japanese film of same name only 47 will be built, each bike has the name of ronin.

Interesting.

The specs section lacks any numbers...

I think that Mr. Buell would cringe at the sight of the linkage fork and the whole front end in general.

I like the indicators and mirrors in the bar ends design.
I like how they try and make things mulit use, battery box and foot peg assemble, use as much of the frame and structula members for housings and fluid storage.
Zero needs to think more like this.

My first thought was that it would be very expensive if you dropped it.  Snapped a footpeg? Buy a whole new cast battery box assembly.  catch a bar end? New mirror and indicator assembly.  Ouch.

LOL, didn't think of that, but hey its a show pony , and if you can afford to but you can afford to insure or repair.
I would not buy one but anything that pushes motorcycles out of the traditional format and explorer new ideas is good.

At least the Zero survives drops very well from reports on forum.
