Title: I got to ride the ZERO S
Post by: Zero Hero on May 21, 2009, 09:44:00 AM
I  was lucky enough to get to ride the Zero S at the Semper Ride event in  San Diego. When I sat on the bike it felt a lot like the X. It definitely rides different. It accelerates like a stock X without the perm motor but has a much better top end. I hit 58 mph easily. This will make a great commuter bike. My X has the perm motor so its much quicker due to the lighter weight and bigger sprocket but the S will walk away from it after it catches up.

Lucky!  My electric vehicle resume only includes bumper cars and golf carts, so far.  The EV industry is a lot of fun to watch right now.  Kind of like if twitter had been around when Henry Ford came out with the Model T.

Thanks for the ride report!  Interesting comparison between x and s acceleration and top speed.  I hope to ride on as soon as we get a rep in the area. :-/
