It looks like Zero sales are much better than I had imagined from just reading enthusiast forums :) : http://cleanrider.com/zero-motorcycles-roll/ (http://cleanrider.com/zero-motorcycles-roll/)

What is really amazing about those sales numbers is that they are an indicator that there really is someone that works at Zero that is willing to answer their phone or respond to an email from a dealer or potential customer! Recently I had my dealer try to order a CHAdeMO kit for my SR. My dealer foolishly thought he could simply call Zero and have it shipped in a day or two. No no no no! It took over a week and a half of constantly calling and leaving messages before my dealer decided to start calling every number he could find for Zero and in hopes of finding someone who would answer their phone! It worked! Pretty sad they had to go to that extreme. Zero is going to learn the hard way that if you ignore dealers and customers long enough they all go away.

I've seen the 2400 number bandied about a bit. It doesn't feel very reliable to me, in the absence of a direct and unambiguous quote.
With the facility expansion, Zero may have the capacity to produce 2400 bikes/year. I suspect their sales are not there yet.
