I just returned from riding my 2014 power tank-equipped Zero 140 miles without needing to recharge.  The battery died 100 yards from my home, but at least I made it home.   :)

Cool project.

I have a Mitsubishi iMiEV and it only has a 16kWh battery.  A Zero S with Power Tank has nearly the same battery capacity and far less mass!
