Title: Motorcycle Rallies & Events
Post by: benswing on May 20, 2014, 01:02:02 AM
Where are some good resources to find when and where major motorcycle events and rallies occur?

I'm planning some road trips this summer up to Quebec City and down to Asheville, NC then possibly as far West as St. Louis.  I'd like to bring my motorcycle and talk to as many people as possible, but don't really know where the crowds are at.

Or should I just rely on talking with people one on one at popular motorcycle hangouts?  What are your thoughts?

If you plan on doing it around 7th June, there is an event at Drummondville gathering electric vehicle fans. The web site is here:

Hope this will help. Other than that I know there are motorcycle clubs in Quebec but I don't know the main one(s).

That's a good point, I would also like to participate in electric vehicle events.

Mostly I want to go into off the beaten path and show a rockin' electric motorcycle to people who have never seen one before, but it's also good to go to electric rallies and hang with people already in the know.

Have you considered the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows (http://www.motorcycleshows.com/) that tour the country?  Zero attends these, and I imagine that they'll be happy to feature their loyal and accomplished customers.

Since you haven't mentioned where you've already looked for answers, how about checking with national motorcycle organizations (http://www.bing.com/search?q=national+motorcycle+oranizations&qs=n&form=QBLH&pq=national+motorcycle+oranizations&sc=1-32&sp=-1&sk=), owners clubs (http://www.bing.com/search?q=Motorcycle+owners+clubs&FORM=HDRSC1) (like this one, but for other manufacturers), motorcycle magazines (http://www.bing.com/search?q=national+motorcycle+magazines&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=national+motorcycle+magazines&sc=1-29&sp=-1&sk=), motorcycle safety organizations (http://www.bing.com/search?q=+motorcycle+safety+organizations&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=motorcycle+safety+organizations&sc=1-31&sp=-1&sk=), motorcycle advocacy/lobbyist groups (http://www.bing.com/search?q=+motorcycle+%28advocacy+OR+lobbyist%29+group&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=motorcycle+%28advocacy+or+lobbyist%29+group&sc=0-27&sp=-1&sk=), and motorcycle charity rides (http://www.bing.com/search?q=Motorcycle+Charity+Ride&FORM=QSRE4)?

Or just get straight to the point with a search for motorcycle events and rallies (http://www.bing.com/search?q=Motorcycle+%28events+OR+rallies%29&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=motorcycle+%28events+or+rallies%29&sc=0-22&sp=-1&sk=).

Does that help?

Thanks for the responses.  I have searched for events, but was wondering if there are specific websites that our community finds most useful since I don't have an infinite amount of time to search all the different permutations of motorcycle, event, rally, get together, etc.

I've been primarily using this site:

http://www.lets-ride.com/event/newjersey.htm (http://www.lets-ride.com/event/newjersey.htm)

Then also looking at magazines and which rallies are advertised there.  Just checking to see if there is a better site or specific rallies on the East Coast that are legendary that I don't know of.
