Title: Motorcycle.com reviews the 2014 Zero SR
Post by: Richard230 on February 21, 2014, 07:42:08 AM
Motorcycle.com has published a short initial review (they say more will come) of the 2014 Zero SR with the power tank option.  The article includes a video, which seems to have a sound issue, as I couldn't hear a thing.   ???

Why the dirt gear?  FX?  DS?  Both?

Sound worked for me when I listened to it yesterday, maybe try another browser.

Thanks protomech.  I can hear the sound on the video that you posted.  In fact, I had to turn down the volume.   ;)

I just returned from a 70-mile ride along the coast and up into the Santa Cruz Mountains, where I checked out my bike's handling around the bumpy, two-lane highways up there.  The 2014 model handles much better and is more stable (maybe that extra "road-hugging" weight of the power tank?) than my 2012 S over the same roads.  The suspension also seems to work better and has noticeably less "striction" than the smaller forks on the 2012 bike.  The ride was firm, but not too harsh when hitting a bump in the road.  Also, I thought that the rear shock was working a little better, too. It looks like the same shock as before, but perhaps they did a little tuning on the new one.

The weather was just amazing today.  Beautiful sunshine, temperatures in the mid-60's, dry roads and little traffic.  A great day for riding.   ;D
