Not really a complain, just a remark that I have to tell zero. The USB key became empty, my computer says I have to format the key.
Did this happen for some of you? They would be better off with a good old CD, computer hardware makers still uses this.

I didn't have that problem. But since I prefer to read manuals that are printed on paper, I took my key fob to the local Staples store and had them print out the entire manual for me and punch holes in each sheet, which I then placed into a loose-leaf binder. Now I have something that actually looks like a service manual. :)

Used my USB key this week (my 2012 displays a BMS fault ???) and the USB key works fine since 1 1/2 year

Sounds like a compatibility/driver issue. On the plus side you can save your own spreadsheet and info (assuming it's not read-only and has sufficient available space, I haven't tried.) Thought it was pretty funny that the manual had pages for writing notes and service records... in a read-only PDF...

What USB key?
I just found the manual from Zero website.
In that one though all fonts are not embedded so for example diagrams related to tightening torques have numbers missing.

I downloaded it from the website too but we receive it on a USB key too.

Same problem here, I also downloaded the info.
But I got a new one also from the dealer.

That's weird.
Maybe they want you to download the info onto the USB key yourself for handy reference?

It seems to me that an empty USB fob is not all that valuable. Fortunately my fob was full, but I believe my dealer might have had to download the manual into it before I bought my bike. They may do that in order to get the latest updated manual from the factory. The first manual that I received when I put down a deposit on my future bike was a draft and the second one that I received when I picked up my bike a month later was the final version.

I rebooted and was able to see the manual in the USB key, but could not open it as it was corrupted. BUT, it was for a 2012 Zero S and DS !!! Anyway, I'm trying to format the USB key but I think it will go to the trash as it's only 500 MB.

I downloaded the manuals long before I made my purchase. After reading the issues that people are having, I just opened my flash drive.
It appears to be 500 megs, with two files on it. The S, DS pdf, and, the X, MX, XU pdf. Both read fine for me.
