Here is a relatively detailed review of the Energica Ego production electric motorcycle prototype. I would be surprised if they can actually market the motorcycle at the projected $25,000:

Thanks for posting that Richard. The history of the company is interesting 8)

That is very cool. Especially the 3D printed fairings. EV's should be showcasing new tech like that.
However, there is no way in hell they can produce that bike for 25K retail. A small company couldnt bring an ICE bike with that chassis spec to market for that price, let alone an electric one.

I believe the Ego will be the model with all of the very upscale suspension components.
The $25k model will probably have "nice" components - think Empulse R, not Empulse TTX/RR.

Here is a longer and more detailed ride review of the prototype Energica Ego. This one is by Motorcycle.com. I don't care for the typical Italian riding position though, with its clip-on bars that will likely give you a lot of pain in the wrist. I continue to believe that the $25K USD price is more of a dream than a likely reality, once (if ever) the bike reaches U.S. shores:

Here is a link to a 15-minute long video about the Energica Ego by everyone's favorite Zero reviewer Wes Siler. It shows him making a few comments about the Ego and then riding the bike around the Italian countryside. He didn't care much for the riding position, but otherwise he liked the bike. During the last one-third of the video you get to see the front wheel move up and down and listen to the motor. Some people may think it sounds like a Tie fighter, but to me it sounds more like fingernails scratching a blackboard:

It is not easy to evaluate the noise from a youtube video. You have to hear it. I heard it several times and to me sounds really good.

It looks like the Energica Ego is nearing production and demo rides are being scheduled first in Italy and then in Germany and the U.S. Not cheap, but it does look like a beautiful motorcycle. This article includes a short video:

I think this motorcycle.com Energica Ego review is the most informative one yet:
