I agree that most of the comments posted seem to be opinions from one side of the fence or the other.  It is interesting how many people want to convince other people that they are right and everyone else is wrong.  I like to think that I can see both sides of a question and try to tread down the middle.  Of course that makes both sides of the fence think you are an idiot.   :-X

Funny thing.  I don't think I have ever seen a comment about how one big advantage of an electric vehicle is that you no longer have to visit a stinky and slimy gas station and fight with a rubber air pollution billows in order to fill your tank with smelly gasoline that may squirt in your face should your attention waver a bit.  Just riding your electric motorcycle into your garage, plugging an electrical cord into your wall outlet and then going in the house to have a meal or read the newspaper while the bike refuels is so much easier.   :)

Hehehe! My husband have said he wished he could just plug in his Burgman at the end of the day and it would have a full tank of gas when he wants to ride again!

I noticed that a lot of times, folks aren't capable of making that paradigm shift. Dwelling on the charge times, dwelling on range, and not thinking about their own habits and how for the most part an EV would fit their daily grind (or enhance it). And if they do, and they find it doesn't fit, then fine, but why be a jerk about it?

Celebrating human invention versus opinionated drivel. EV owners, I've found, are generally thoughtful individuals.

I even have to admit that the electric "refueling" is easier than I expected. And range has not been a problem, except for not being able to commute to work at the moment (but that happened after I bought the bike). Probably my biggest usability impediment on my 2012 right now is lack of luggage options, but my generic soft luggage is mitigating that somewhat.
