Si ton moteur est bruyant c'Est probablement 2 choses: soit les brosses qui doisvent être remplacé, soit les bearing qui aussi doisvent être remplacé.
nul besoin d'acheter un mouveau moteur agni à 1200$ ;)

I want to warn about buying from Doctorbass. I bought a motor from him 2013, the one he describe as in "top shape, near new".
The shipping was delayed, the reason was "commutator need to be cleaned, and brushes need to be changed", here should first warning bell be ringing... Near new motor need new brushes and cleaning...
But ok. I needed a motor to future build. After several weeks I received my motor and tested it with a car battery. no problems. It spins fine.
Now when I finally manufactured a mount plate for motor and mounted motor in my motorcycle frame I accidentally found that I have my battery pack voltage on the frame and motor shaft. I measured resistance between motor shaft and motor terminals and there is 300 Ohms, I also measured with isolation tester at 250V and get below 1. It means I have no isolation between motor shaft and commutator.
According to Cedric Lynch, Jozztek, and Alltrax the motor is fault and need new armature. Shaft need to be isolated. But according to Doctorbass there is no problems with this motor, "he used it self few month in his Zero".
His solution to my problem? Install a grounded brush to motor shaft to get rid of battery voltage there. That on motor described as top shape, near new.
So if you want problems buy a motor from him.

I already answered your emails about that.
When i have shipped the motor to you it was working fine and tested in a commercial zero motorcycle without any problem. The Zero are built with alot of safety to prevent any possible danger for the user.
You tested it and it was working a few weeks after reception you said.
Now, about 600 days later you are contacting me because you say the motor have problem with insulation.
The fact is Both other motor sold came from a Zero identical with same problem witch is the dead battery. And both other motor worked fine for the buyers.
If you would have contacted me and sent me a picture of the motor and original box on arrival indicating me a possible problem with the motor or shipping issue i could trust you on that and help but 600 days after that it just dont make any sense.
I repeat: i have no proof of what happened with that motor during this extended period and i just can't trust you, Sorry.

Yes, motor was spinning when I received it and it still spins. I had no reason to measure resistance or isolation on motor on arrival, because it was sold as top shape, near new, and not repair object.
I discover this fault as soon I measure my pack voltage on frame, same day motor was installed.
What was reason why you needed to replace brushes and clean commutator on motor before shipping, how bas was that?

Simple. There was two cracked brush on that motor and one of these damaged the holder. It is required to have 8 working brush total and a tuning of the timing. total cost 330$ just in parts.

Please, I know who you are and reading you blog.
If you spend a lot of money on something which turns out not work as it should. How would you react? Even if it was 600 days ago. What would you do, throw your money? Dont you want to solve this? My plan was to finally use this motor this summer...
I know it was some time i bought this motor, i say it clearly in my post below i bought it 2013. But motor was never used by me before i tested it in my setup. NEVER.
It is usual for this community to collect parts one after one for several years and not on same time. I bought it long before i bought right controller and battery pack. It is usual that welding, and rebuildning frame take time...
I found this fault before i did a test ride and my motorcycle was on central stand... There is not many amps you can load to a non loaded motor. 35A? From my point of view this fault was there from beginning, i do not know if Zeros have grounded frames, in this cases it is hard to discover.
I know clearly how i used this motor and how well i stored it. So if i choose to accuse someone that decision i do because i know what i did, what thruth is and how i tryed to solve this isue before i post here.

Then you should know that above all, I value integrity and honesty. You have neither. Especially cross posting this bullshit on other forums as well as here.
What would I do? As if you care? I'd contact the person immediately, not two years later, and try to work it out. You know. Like a mature adult. You obviously weren't ready to make the purchase if you couldn't test it. (And please don't tell me what's "usual" for this community. I've built 4 bikes, to your none.)
It really doesn't matter what I think. Nobody in the community would take an accusation like this about Dr. Bass seriously anyway. There's no way in hell he's not going to do everything he can to help someone. You're just making an ass of yourself.

I personally don't take any member seriously when they have ONLY 3 posts and these 3 posts are all complaints about somebody or something which they feel is not right. This type of person is not a contributor but a user of other people and knowledge to get what they want and only for them. As for Dr. Bass, I would not hesitate to purchase anything from him. And if you waited 600+ days to complain about something, well you get what you deserve. Electronic parts CAN and WILL break just sitting depending on the environment and also the way that they were built initially. Dr. Bass would have repaired the motor or refunded you if you let him know within a reasonable amount of time, and 600+ days is not reasonable.
These types of posters exist everywhere guys, the cross-posting is another sign of a member with no respect and disregard for others.
Personally I'd NOT buy or sell anything to the user "zerous" for reasons I'm sure you already know of by now.

Well, ME1003 and Agni 95 do not have same hole pattern, you can clearly see a large hole in the motor plate, so no Agni can be mounted there. Cedric share good guidelines for weight/system voltage ratio in Agni manual, so this setup is way over heavy for a Agni.

I HAVE bought parts from Dr Bass in the past and they have arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Zerous can go blissfully pleasure himself to excess somewhere else.
