Here is a link to a 25-minute long video showing a rider on a home-built electric motorcycle riding through Moscow traffic. This guy really knows how to split lanes and is proof positive that you don't need loud pipes to save lives - you just need to have a good eye for fitting into small spaces at high speeds. ;)

Actually, it's an electric bicycle. Which makes it even more awesome.

You sure could have fooled me. No wonder he can split lanes the way he does. That thing is fast and apparently must have a big battery pack to travel that far. I wonder where he stuffs those batteries on that bicycle?
And I also wonder how he manages to keep the wheels from falling into groves in the pavement (sometimes called edge traps), which can toss even motorcycle riders on to the pavement at times. We have many areas of pavement around here where the asphalt was laid down by the paving machine in passes (typically between lanes) and the joints between the asphalt lanes can develop wide cracks after a while. (Northbound Park Presidio through San Francisco comes to mind as a street where you don't want to split lanes due to that problem.) In any case, that fellow is a really good rider. I hope his luck holds out.

This guy is Andrey, a greay guy from E-S forum. He is using one of our big beast hub motor names cromotor. a Croatian version of the chineese scooter hub motor.
He use same popular lipo battery on his ebike.
What is brilliant is that he is part of a team that developped a brilliant electric system from their Adaptto E-drives Lab for ebike with alot of high performances features like timming advance on the motor.
The white screen you see on the handlebar is the display of the controller and bms system. They are selling these as a kit that can do up to 30s and up to 250A.
They are names MAX-E, Mini-E and MAX-BMS.
Andrey sent me one to review. I have it in my lab and I hope to have time to review it soon.
I actually reach 113kmh with my kelly and normal "old school hub motor" but soon i will install one of these kit on my giant and will probably get higher speed with all the adjusting feature thes great 12kW adaptto kit does

Thanks Doc. Andrey and Luke (liveforphysics) ought to get together and race their bicycles. That would be something to see! ;D
