Title: hi from Pinkyracer!
Post by: pinkyracer on May 09, 2013, 12:16:34 PM
Protomech, Michael Beatty strongarmed me into joining. I'm not very active on forums, as I'm busy with my boring and tedious day job that pays me enough to do things like run off to Portland and write about MotoCzysz, or the Isle of Man to write about the TT Zero (sadly, not this year). If you don't know, now you know: http://gas2.org/author/susannaschick/ (http://gas2.org/author/susannaschick/) shameless self plug. Also wrote my first Jalopnik piece last month, about the MotoGP race at Austin. Covered it here too: http://rideapart.com/author/susannahfl/ (http://rideapart.com/author/susannahfl/)

I will be covering eRoadracing at Laguna and Indy, and probably Miller as well, as it's a fun road trip. If you didn't read the review on Gas2, I LOVE my Zero FX. Like, LOVE. Like, more than any other bike I've ever had, probably. Although I certainly loved my Monster 750 when we first met, I think this is more special. Shaq Mariposa (my bike's name) is so ultra-super rad.

Gas2 review of the FX if you haven't seen it:

And something in the works (http://instagram.com/p/ZFE6xCIWOA/).. that's Hollywood Electrics' custom 2013 Zero S, "Big Blue".

The FX is pretty much all around fun, granted mine is slated for mostly work commuting, there's a lot of trails on this island that I'm itching to explore & the FX seems the perfect bike for the job.

welcome to the forum

Welcome!  I've enjoyed reading your articles, keep up the good work!

This summer I'll be riding across the country from Charleston, SC to Google HQ in Mountain View, CA on my 2012 Zero S and hope to meet you somewhere along the way!  We'll be near Hollywood August 7-12th.

Thanks everyone! I took the FX to Malibu for the first time, and until they install Chademo at the Rock Store and I get a Chademo upgrade, that's too much of a ride for Shaq. Till then it's just around town and occasional track days. Ben, I should be in town Aug 7-12, so we'll definitely have to meet up!
