Brought a 2013 Zero S ZF11.4 home on Tuesday and then my periodic on-call rotation at work prevented me from riding until today. I cannot get rid of this smirk that is pasted on my face! I have no words for how awesome this bike is. I am obviously in the break in period, and with normal and fun riding in sport mode I am on track to get over 100 mi of riding per charge during the break in period. This ride was with a lot of fast acceleration and about half the ride at 50-55+ Mph.
According to the documentation I may expect an increase of 10% of battery capacity, and I am assuming also range, if I break it in correctly over the first 30 charges by following recommended discharge and charge instructions provided by Zero Motorcycles.

Congrat for your new toy! ;)

It is really a commuter (no really!) It is only disguised as a fun toy that rocks. Seriously I will be commuting this vehicle 34 miles, 5 days a week, plus studying any distracting curvy back roads that need exploring. 8)

This is real pain, I got my 2012 DS one week before the paper received so I know how hard it is to wait!

Congrats on your new bike! Just got mine on Saturday. Did yours come with an owner's manual? My dealer did not give me one.
-
I didn't get one with mine either, so I called the customer service number on the contact page of the website and he emailed one to me immediately.

Thanks for the info. Found the manual on the Zero website.

The dealer told me that they had an unofficial version and that if I had a USB flash drive they could give me the file. They said that Zero will provide me with the final version whenever it is ready. I did not want to make a special trip back to the dealer for this as I did not have a thumb drive the day I picked it up. Glad to see an online copy. I am going to go read it now......
