Here is a link to the table of contents of a new extensive and comprehensive 68-page PikeResearch Report regarding the current status and future of the electric motorcycle and scooter industry. Lots of big names mentioned in the summary. From the look of the contents, the 68-page report appears to cover just about everything you could think of regarding the electric motorcycle industry.

Anybody got the actual report? Wondering how they cover the 30000 bikes sold outside China. Especially in Australia or so. Noticed at least one Australian company on their listing VMoto. But have seen more Zeros here than Vmotos ...

Here is the executive summary.
Apparently they want $3,600 to view the document. I was willing to pony up $20, but not over a grand.

I'd buy it if it was a few dollars.. maybe as high as $10. But not $3900.....
A couple of years ago pike research was predicting 202 million unit sales of electric motorcycles and scooters from the period 2010-2016.
I bet their research methods are a little more formal than a dartboard, but the outcomes seem to be a little bit wild.

Basically it says:
eScooter sales will be far greater than eMotorcycles
China already has significant eScooter sales which will increase now that batteries last longer, sales about 11million
India will also be a major market, about 1 million eScooters/eMotorcycles
Western Europe sales should be about 150,000
N. America sales about 15,000, with larger share of >125cc equivalent (We like our power!)

Funny. In 2010 Pike Research predicted 440 million e-bike sales from the time period 2010-2016, 43% of which were e-motorcycles and 1% of which were e-scooters.
I guess in two years they've figured out scooters sell more than motorcycles?
I think there's a good chance we will see 2000-3000 total unit sales from Brammo and Zero combined this year, the majority of which are in the US. US typically has motorcycle unit sales around 250k/year.
