Title: 1997 CR125 Conversion
Post by: skadamo on March 03, 2009, 11:51:58 PM
New version with A123 lithium batteries. Bike is 50 lbs lighter and has 27% more energy than with sealed lead acid batteries. Gearing has been changed to allow 50 mph top speed.

Pretty cool.  I can see that converting a conventional motorcycle has it's limitation, like the frame not being the right shape to place things.

The lead batteries were only a 36v set up, right?  That would explaing why the power went up with the next battery.

I am going to start a conversion, possibly similar to yours, is there a web site with more info on your conversion?  What motor and controller did you use?

Skadamo,

I'm one of the designers/owners. The bike is currently sitting in my garage so I guess I'm the owner!
