Once in a while I see 10 or 15 of those things riding in a group in my city along the beach bike/walking trail.  They don't go much faster than a brisk walk and get blown off by bicycle riders.  Personally, I prefer walking or bicycling - or motorcycling, of course.  If I wanted to stand in place like a palace guard I could do that at home.   ::)

Nice countryside, though.   :)

The Speed is 20 km / h, even if you drive it feels much faster, very fun  ;)

I think the most interesting thing about them is how fast your balance adapts to them. They're awkward at first, but after about 10 minutes on one it's almost as natural as walking.

That said, they're still kind of a gimmick. The standard model I rode wouldn't get over any but the smallest bumps, and they're too heavy to bunny-hop (I tried :). They're quite maneuverable, but as noted top speed is 12 mph.
