Title: Zero Motorcycles on hold in Australia
Post by: firepower on May 05, 2012, 03:08:17 PM
"After a soft response to the American-made range of e-bikes downunder, Zero has now been withdrawn from the local market – for the time being anyway"

"and alarm bells started ringing when the 2011 range of Zeros failed to make it downunder, which has carried over into 2012 – although rumoured production delays in America meant that we probably wouldn’t have seen those updated 2012 models until late in the year anyway."

Weird. Iam in Sydney Australia and happily on a 2011S! And yes. No 2012s yet.
But 2011 are so far a good alternative.

2012 model has speed and range that people have  been waiting for, in the US Hollywood Electric says they sold more of the 2012 in few months than all other years zeros combined. And typical Australian decison making to abandon a market that will be growing, they need to import 2012 to existing customer who want them and let the public see how good they are.

Looks like I be buying direct from ZERO US or US dealers.
