hi, i am converting a petrol dirt bike to an electric ive got all the tools i just need some help with parts does anyone know where to get parts for a bike for £500? It also has to go at least 50mph thanks

Very doubtful you'd get anything decent for that money. Try 2,000GBP instead.

A basic starting point with a DC motor for that sort of build would be an ME1003 http://www.evdrives.com/kits_conversion.html (http://www.evdrives.com/kits_conversion.html) and 24 headway cells http://currentevtech.com/Lithium-Batteries/Headway/Headway-40160S-16ah-cell-LiFePO4-p42.html (http://currentevtech.com/Lithium-Batteries/Headway/Headway-40160S-16ah-cell-LiFePO4-p42.html) though you could go for thundersky for more capacity, but the extra weight may be a downside for dirt http://currentevtech.com/Lithium-Batteries/Thundersky/Thundersky-90ah-cell-p23.html (http://currentevtech.com/Lithium-Batteries/Thundersky/Thundersky-90ah-cell-p23.html)
Would pay to look around other motor/controller combinations for power to weight, and cooling options, and regen braking, but that should give you a ballpark.
EDIT: I've been told that battery supplier may not be the most reliable, so do a bit of research on the yourself before buying. Which is probably good advice for any dealer you go with!
