Title: I am new to the forum
Post by: repoman on July 28, 2011, 09:31:58 PM
I have a belt drive question.

Can anyong post some pictures of the front and rear belt drive pulleys.  I am currently modifying a Hyosung GV650 to the belt drive of the Zero S bike.

I could also use some general dimensions like belt lenght (I know there are 200 teeth @ 8 mm pitch, belt width of 14 mm).
Diameter of both front and rear pulleys and if possible hole pattern for the bolts for attaching the pulleys.

I believe the belt cost about $59.99 new.  I do not know the cost of the pulleys.

The reason I am attempting this mod is the cost of my current set-up is:

Belt $305
Front pulley $70
Rear pulley $225

Thanks

Hey welcome!

Just to be clear, are you keeping the GV650 motor? Just swapping out the pulleys and belt?

I would like to just swap the pulleys and belt on my GV 650 and keep the engine.

Is there anyone willing to help me with my original post?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

sorry, there's just not a lot out there. Not many bikes use belt.

Try asking Zero directly if you want specific answers.

Can anyone give me the center to center dimension of the two pulleys, either chain or belt drive will work as they should be the same distance.

Thanks
