Title: Zero S street bike - just started with some mods
Post by: manlytom on May 19, 2011, 05:25:19 PM
hi all
just to share some initial work on my Zero S 2010 model. Done by the way BEFORE the 2011 models came out. Always as black as possible, more naked and the lower seat. Then a small stumpy front fender ....

here we go. next - let's see.

Did it have a front fender when you got it?  I have some ideas for mods for my Brammo Enertia, but my mechanical ineptitude keeps me from trying anything.  Kudos to you for digging into your bike.

Hi Brammofan

yeah - it had the overly large front fender. Higher up and I find it large and heavy on this rather small bike. Sure it is the "default" motard style -- but what the heck.

I had to make a bracket to hold the fender -- this was a bit fiddly -- took me a day or so. I am certain though that I have shed some weight on the bike and I will see how to do the rear fender. A bit tricky as it has the motor cooling fan inlet in there now ...

cheers

Tom

realised this old thread of mine that I did mods to my 2010S that in fact came out standard on the 2011S :)

So I guess the fender chopping many are doing will see its way into the 2013 models ?
