A report by Motorcycle.com says that retired GM vice-chairman, Bob Lutz, is investing $1.5 million in Current Motors, a startup company making freeway-legal motor scooters. Of more interest to me is Current Motors plans to offer a $2000 discount to early adopters of their scooters and their plan to task them with real-world ownership feedback to the company. (Public road testing I guess, something more than one motorcycle company already engages in.)

Sound like Lutz has been an investor since early 2010 at least based on this interview with Peter Scott, Current Motor president (30 Nov 2010)...
