The Associated Press reports that Saab Automotive is about to announce its first all-electric vehicle. The car will be powered by a battery sourced from Boston-Power of Westborough, Massachusetts.  The Saab 9-3 ePower sport wagon will be displayed at the Paris Auto Show on September 30.

The company plans to produce 70 of the vehicles, which will be used to research the design of future electric cars. The company will test the vehicles in Sweden over the next two years.

Saab expects the ePower to travel up to 124 miles on a single charge, accelerate to 62 mph within 8.5 seconds and have a top speed of 93 mph.
