Title: 1982 Yamaha Virago conversion

hey everyone i am really new to this EV stuff. i just recently got a 1982 Yamaha virago for free and its was not running great/at all so i decided to convert it to electric. like i said before i am new and know nothing and when i was looking around ebay for parts that i had learned that i needed i came across this item

its a full kit for an electric conversion.

is this worth it or can i get better cheaper stuff somewhere else?

i have striped it of the engine and most of the electrical components now and i see that it uses a drive shaft. how would i go about connecting a electric motor to it?

mount motor NS and translate drive across using gears or a small chain, sized for the correct final drive ratio.

Kit doesnt sound too bad a price. But always useful to shop around.

thats what i was thinking to do with the drive shaft too. thanks

in either case I'd recomend making a case for the gears of sprockets so it's constantly lubed and quiet, I imagine a shafty electric would be very quiet!
