This is the electric motorcycle forum. This thing is going to say moped on the certificate of origin isn't it? At 8k $ before fees for a " 6000w Brushless Hub Motor" when Can am and Livewire have offerings for 10k before fees in the real world, why, just for vintage abuse of what a cafe racer genre was?

New to me as well. Agree it is a poor value. The fake motor (I assume the battery) is hideous with funky welds that only make it worse.

It only has a 2 KWH battery, will be lucky to get 20 miles/30 km on a full charge.

My Aniioki ebike, that I bought for $1,600 (no shipping and no sales tax), has a 3 KWH battery and came with an 8 amp charger, which will take me about 100 miles on level ground using just the throttle, or 200 mile if I pedal, but it only has a top speed of 26mph, so that can be an issue when riding on public streets at times. A much better deal than the Old Soren. Plus, it doesn't need to be licensed with the DMV or to be insured because it is not classed as a motorcycle or moped - yet.

I checked out this Aniioki AQ177 Pro Max 48V Single Motor Long Range. Have you put the kil a watt meter to it to determine if the capacity is what they say?
Youtube keeps throwing me suggestions to watch like 10 new electric motorcycles for 2026 and lots of similar to this one here. I guess there really isn't enough content to suggest something better. I assume the guy built one and will offer to build more. Buyers pay half now and half before delivery.
What is a cafe racer anyway TT is tavern to tavern. It really means dunstall accessories to me.

I have the 54V model of the AQ177. I did put a kill A Watt meter on the charger and it does put out 8 amps. But I have never run the battery past an SOC of 80%, which gives me three 21-mile round trips to the grocery store. The charger takes two hours to charge the battery from 80% to 100%.

Richard thats probably one of the worst things you can do to those batteries is constantly keeping them topped off.
leave it at 80 percent it'll be fine.
in fact run it from 30 to 80 percent or 20 to 80 percent it'll love you for it.
those trips to 100, are what tears them up and causes the fires you hear about... the occasional trip to 0 is not too keen on them either but folks are much more panicky about that and will quickly bring it above zero, before worrying about bringing it below 100. it's the ends of the cycles where the most damage occurs.
keep it in the middle and it should last a long time with minimal grief.
