Have any UK owners of gen 3 bikes experienced problems with charging from a UK household 3 pin socket using a CE marked 3 pin to Type 2 (single phase) charge lead?

Do you mean going from Mennekes to IEC C14 (kettle lead) to plug a gen 2 bike into a public charging station, or did you mean to put gen 3 and you want a UK mains socket to Mennekes cable to charge at home? If it's the former then I've never actually seen one, I ended up buying a Mennekes to Schuko adapter cable and then removing the socket and replacing it with a UK mains one, worked fine for me. If it's the latter then someone else can confirm but I think your charging speed could possibly be limited, by how much would depend on what chargers your bike has installed. You of course have the ~3kW limit of the UK mains but I've also heard something about the gen 3 bikes not giving full potential on a single phase input, although that may only have been for bikes with multiple chargers.

The max output of the official Zero 240V mains -> Mennekes connector is about 2.2kW.

I made a mistake in my original question - I meant gen 3 bikes, specifically a DSR/X
Which charges as expected on a public type 2 charger, using a Zero type 2 mode 3 lead. When charging from a 3 pin socket at home using an EU approved Type 2 mode 2 lead it only charges for a few minutes before cutting out and showing error codes 31 & 43. I can repeat the process but charging still stops after a few minutes. I have tried different 3 pin plug sockets. Any advice is gratefully received.

You shouldn't have any problems at all charging at home. You've got an isolation fault (43) which probably leads to battery ineligible (31). Possibly water got in somewhere, or there's a loose connection in there somewhere. But also, ensure you've got the latest firmware, as there were some issues with some of the Gen3 firmware causing false alarms over isolation when there weren't any.

Cas, thanks for your answer but if there is a fault with the bike I wonder why that does not appear if charging at a
public charge point. It seems to me the bike does not like type 2 mode 2 leads; I have tried two with the same result.
I'll get the bike checked at first service.

This is why I'm thinking, also make sure that firmware is up-to-date, as it might save some hassle if the problem just magically "goes away".

Hm... I would check with a different charging cable before trying anything else. It is possible your cable has a faulty earth.

I had the house electrics checked and as a result a fault which had been created when solar panels were recently fitted
was rectified although this did not help with the bike charging issue. I had tried another lead but still had the charging problem
when attempting to charge at home. Charging from a public charger is fine. The electrician who checked the house wiring
suggested charging at a lower amperage - controlled via the box on the charge lead. The device was set at 10 amps so I tried
8 & 6 amps and it seems to be ok with that. Thanks for your advice and comments.
