Title: Check engine light. Helpful AI.
Post by: T.S. Zarathustra on June 16, 2025, 07:38:10 PM
This morning I got a check engine light with error 0000. Which the owners manuals states means no issue. Yet I have check engine light. So I asked Google search, that includes AI.
I think that loose gas cap can be eliminated though.  :D

that specific AI is not smart enough to understand that electric does not need gas.  Think of like a call center dweeb, can barely understand the language of the guy on the other end, but can hone in on the few words it does understand, then goto the appropriate page in it's job manual, and regurgitate a paragraph or two of general garbage to you, then tell you to press  5 on the survey afterwards to tell what a wonderful job 'Jonnee" did to help you.

Gas cars, having the gas cap loose, can indeed generate a genertic check engine light, and it is one of the many specific errors to throw that code.

AI can appear to be smart, but it's going to be a while before it has any street smarts, or as some others may say, common sense.  But when you look at a generation or two of kids, educated in government schools, where pronouns matter more than reading comprehension, the AI is god.
If i have to pay attention for more than 10 -15 seconds at a shot,  tldr, ooh, time for my next selfie.   gimme a thumbs up !!!!!
