Title: Rebelle Tail Tidy
Post by: Pard on June 06, 2025, 07:54:17 PM
For anyone who cut down the orignial into a better looking solution, do you have some more details on how to get that done?

I was thinking of cutting the lower part of the plate older, below the plate to get rid of that extension, and then cutting out  the midsection of the arm that holds the signals and plate which mounts to the underside of the tail.  See proposed cuts on pic attached.

Finally bolting the plate/signal piece to the shortened undertail  arm.

Made a 3d printed one back a few months.... didn't hold up for long, but I'll mill it from aluminum in the future ;)
But have to improve it a bit

I actually had mine enlarged! Energica sold me a little piece of plastic that turns it into a mudguard which is really handy.

The Texas energica dealer used to have a smaller version of the license holder, which i kind of prefer ,it's tidier on the track.  but basically yah cut all that off and just nub it up below the seat.

Here's mine

Can't see it too clearly.  What did you do to rig it up that way?

It was in my R&D bin, I believe it was for a Jap bike, I just used same holes as OEM mount. I'll post a better pic

Top-box, not only functional, it takes all the attention away from the (fugly) plate holder...

Looks great.  Appreciate the additional pics.  Makes sense to go with an aftermarket unit that fits rather than chopping up the original.

There was a thread about this some time ago, but I cannot find it anymore.

Someone posted a pic of a tail tidy which was the original Energica one but cut and re-welded.
I will attach this pic to this post, whoever forgive me that i have not the copyright of this.

And for European friends: There was an Energica dealer in Switzerland who made 3D-parts, beside a cruise control relocator also a tail tidy.
Unfortunately these are not shown on the website anymore, but maybe if you phone them, you could be lucky.

I saw this tail tidy on the FB threads for Energica.  Chris Paz mentioned it as well.  I reached out to the vendor who did the work but never got a response.
