Title: Well This Sucks
Post by: Specter on February 17, 2025, 09:30:12 AM
Trying to find somewhere to race.

PanAmerican has no category for electric bikes, however said they would ask the riders what they thought about where to put them.

AHRMA banned electric bikes starting in 25, even though to the best of my knowledge they never had any problems with them.

Not sure wera allows them either.

Guess Ill just be running track days then,   oh well, I tried., still plenty of tracks and organizations to get some fun in on the weekends either way.

I quick had a look, I guess this rules out WERA for you based on the sales figures we've talked about
Superstock - "There must be at least 1000 motorcycles available to riders, worldwide, per year and the machine must be generally available on the U.S. market with full EPA and DOT approval to qualify a machine"

Technically though, there might be 1000 EGO's out there, but not per year.  They ARE street legal if you put the lights and mirrors back on them.  That's kind of funny, they want the bike street legal,  yet to race it you need to remove the things that make it street legal.

Some groups have a 'Euro' section, which technically would qualify but they are balking for some reason.  I'll give them a nudge and see if we can figure something out.   Kind of sucks but oh well, it is what it is, all I can do is keep trying.
