"If anyone is interested I have a 2022 Energica EGO + RS battery potentially for sale. It is the 21kw battery and the bike only had 2,000 miles. Battery was well cared for and bike had 75% charge when it was totaled. Should have about 40% charge right now as its been sitting for 3 weeks. Its actually the insurance that offered to let me buy it back. Most of the bike is wrecked but the battery was not affected. I don't plan to buy the bike back but if anyone wants or needs the battery, it will be $4k. I probably have a few days to decide before insurance tows the bike. The bike is located in san francisco, ca. You can pick up locally or I can help ship but shipping cost is on you. I'm simply offering the group a chance for a very good battery before state farm takes it away."

Who's setting the price at 4k? Them? or you? If it is them, that's way too high. WTF are they going to do with it? They don't have a clue what to do with it and will probably end up paying someone to dispose of it as hazmat for them, or maybe take it for free.
what about the motor? did that get clunked or is it fairly OK? That may have some value to it, and I bet it can be ran with PWM or a decent VFD, both of which I have access to getting! Make a killer motor for a go cart or a spare for other projects.

They sell those manta motors online, or used to. Things got stupid HP and Torque, Ive seen them on go carts and the thing will do like 100 mph. No way in HELL Id want to sit in that but man it looked fun watching him do burnouts in a parking garage with it !
I wonder how much the Energica motor does weigh? probably 100 lb, and tops at 12k rpm I believe so you'd need the gearbox too .. probably another 50 or so lbs. Ive been thinking on it and yah, probably would want their controller for it, the 400 amp one because a vfd for that kind of hp is pretty heavy, and they seem to have the knack down for their inverter. Hmmm.... potential ....

The guy on Facebook sold the bike:
"Just wanted to let everyone know that its now sold. Someone has stepped up to take it. The battery is also charging now (Chris Paz) has bypassed whatever is broken and got it to charge). Battery was at 50% but should be 100% by tomorrow."
