Meanwhile Suzuki dips its little toe into the prototype EV waters with a 125 e-Burgman scooter: https://thepack.news/suzuki-announced-e-burgman-electric-scooter-prototype-for-japan-mobility-show-2023/
So isn't it about time that Honda did something dramatic in the way of an electric motorcycle? Or are they just hanging back to see how hot (or cold) is the two-wheel EV market?

I've said before I think an electric goldwing would actually be a really strong statement both culturally and technically.

A Goldwing would really work, as they could shove 150kg of batteries into it and it'd have a reasonable range.
Cas :)

A Goldwing is counterintuitively actually a really great platform for it because it's already stupidly heavy, designed to for a wide, low weight, has the space to mount active thermal management, and has huge potential for good aero.

And likely would cost a small fortune. ;)

Well shit, if you already got a bike that is going to weigh 1100 Lbs, throwing a few extra hundred LBS of battery into it to boost the range to 300 miles is eazy peazy. Some of them have side cars right? well make the sidecar, the extra battery pack, for an extra 500 miles of range :D Only downside is only 1 fatass can fit on the bike now

By the time you have done all of that you might as well have bought a car and then you could ride in comfort. And also likely be served by a franchised dealer that actually gives a rats behind about electric vehicles than will a Japanese motorcycle shop. ;)

So just like a normal Goldwing then!
