Title: Hollywood Electrics closing up
Post by: NEW2elec on September 14, 2023, 07:16:34 AM
Copied from the Zero Owners FB page:

All Good Things Must Come to an End
After 14 years of Hollywood Electrics, the time has come to pursue new opportunities and face new challenges. Hollywood Electrics was the first shop of its kind when we opened in Los Angeles in 2009. We introduced the world to electric two-wheeled transportation, back when electric vehicles were still only considered a novelty. Today there are millions of EVs on the road and it won’t be long before they outnumber their internal combustion predecessors. It was exciting to be a part of such a world changing movement and we will never forget all the people and events that touched us on this journey.
Thank you to all our customers, partners, friends, and supporters. This is not goodbye, but simply closing a chapter. We are so grateful for the relationships we’ve made along the way and hope to keep in touch. As we start winding things down we encourage anyone who has any immediate service needs to reach out as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. If you are still on the fence about buying a Zero, we’ve still got new and used inventory left. Give us a call or send us an email for more details.
Enjoy the Ride,
Harlan

Thanks to Harlan and the team for being major electric motorcycle ambassadors and over all major contributors in the early years of the electric era.

I reached out to Harlan because I am rebuilding a DSR for my mom and need some parts. I asked if he had stuff he needed to get rid of and he confirmed, "Everything must go."

So if you need Zero parts reach out to them before they're gone.

I'm sure they have their reasons but seems like an odd choice, they're the go to for electric motorcycles and those are getting more and more popular all the time. They must have been doing a hell of a lot better than they were a decade ago so whatever they're moving on to must be really good.

That is really a shame. I have dealt with Harlan going back to 2010 when I needed replacement batteries for my Electric Motorsport GPR-S. He is a really nice guy and has done a lot to promote and support the electric motorcycle community over the years.

Attached is a photo of Harlan at the Hollywood Electrics shop taken sometime during the summer of 2010. I think that bike in the foreground is the 2010 GPR-S that I bought from the company in December 2010. It was sold as a new bike, but came with 250 miles on the clock.
