I just got my Enertia safety inspected today, and I took into work on my first official commute to work. I took a more scenic route today on a road where the speed limit varies from 30 to 45 mph. I hope to get a video of it soon. I took it fairly easy. I was behind a huge dump truck for most of my ride which made it easier for me in that it slows down the normal commuting speed on that road.

I am still a new rider, and often felt like I was on a small rollercoaster as I went up and down hills on my way to work. I am getting more comfortable riding at higher speeds. I ended up going to work a little later than normal which made the traffic really light. It was really a fun ride.

Here are some pictures of my Enertia at work. I painted two of the black panels to white as I mentioned in another thread.

and I like the idea of blinding people with all that white :D

Maybe some white rim strips would look good?

I think I am going to get decals to cover up some of the white at some point to promote solar charging stations, but I am all for blinding people for the sake of safety. :)

If I play my cards right, I might be able to get my work to cover some of the costs in exchange for advertising on the bike.

White suit?  White helmet?  White boots?  Maybe get Mr. Clean to sponsor you?

I really like it, by the way.  Did you paint it yourself, or take it somewhere?

Thanks, my helmet, gloves and jacket are red/orange/white and black and my boots are black Magnums. I am trying to go for an extreme contrast to be more visible to car and truck drivers. I might paint the bike more white in the future.

Coincidently, I just promised my brother today at lunch that if he gets a Mr. Clean haircut, that I will, too.

Yes, I painted it myself with a $3.00 can of spraypaint in white gloss. If it gets funded, I'll have someone else do a nice paint job on it.

Get the white reflective rim tape. Makes the bike much more noticeable at night from the sides.
