Title: ***SOLD*** 2021 Energica Ribelle For Sale
Post by: BigPoppa on July 26, 2023, 08:31:36 PM
SOLD

Hey Folks,

After a lot of time and consideration I've decided to stop riding 2-wheeled motorcycles. I have my bike posted on a couple other places but figured I would post here as well.

11,000 miles
$10,000 firm
Title in hand

It's the 1st generation Ribelle in the US so it has the older motor (fluids changed every 6,000 miles). All service and most accessories installed by the same dealer I bought the bike from.

Accessories:

I can provide more, higher resolution photos upon request.

He's more west of you than I am.  He's in the SF Bay area.

His Energica (when he had a 2020 SS9-) was the very first Energica I have ever ridden--or even saw.

Hi Aaron, I’m located in Antioch, California.

I just had an interested buyer stop by this morning to look at the bike and he gave me a deposit to hold it until he can pick it up on Tuesday. Should things change and he decides not to go through with the purchase I’ll PM you. In either case, once the bike is actually sold I’ll update this thread accordingly.

Or was it really your wife who decided for you? :)

Does that mean you're also soon gone from this forum?

I guess in an indirect way she did. I left the Marines under a medical discharge for my knees over 30 years ago. This year has been very painful for me when riding 2-up with my wife. Freeway riding is fine but around town and stop-n-go traffic took the fun out of riding with the Mrs.

I’ve made the switch to 3-wheels and although I’ll miss filtering during my daily commute everything else about 3-wheeling has been fun so far.

Finally, no…I’m not leaving the forum. I may not check it as frequently but I plan on staying. A lot of good folks and good information here. Who knows, maybe one day Can-Am or some other manufacturer may release an electric 3-wheeler with decent range…then I’ll be right back in the mix.

Here is a 3-wheel (https://www.arcimoto.com/) electric  (https://www.arcimoto.com/)that could be worth looking into.

Click on the photo here (https://www.plugshare.com/location/252833) of my Experia and see one of the 3-wheelers charging there on May 14 (see the check-in for that date).

I will copy and resize that photo here:

That’s pretty cool. I wonder if the DMV classifies it as an auto-cycle or a motorcycle. It definitely straddles the line. I’m sticking with a gas powered 3-wheeler for now since a big part of this switch is being able to continue doing overnight rides. I would still like to see Can-Am do an electric touring Spyder.

Arcimotos are absolute garbage with trash components and inexcusable build quality. They also wholeheatedly believe that a really cool name for their product is "FUV". Yes, say it out loud. FUV. 'Fun Utility Vehicle'. The company is as inept as they are out of touch.

Are you saying they fall apart quickly? What are the common issues with them? Do they come with a reasonable warranty?

Everything about them is awful and cheaply made. They can't maintain speeds, they break down, and they offer a max of a 3kW onboard charger for an 18kWh pack.

Well, the Experia only has a 3KW charger for a 20KW pack at the many places that have no DC fast charging.

Not as ridiculous as the Harley, but useful AC charging starts at 6KW when on the road, IMAO.

That's why I keep a bike at each house that can charge above 6KW on AC as well as a bike that can charge with CCS.

One of the reasons I purchased my Zero DSR/X.

Which bike I take depends on the type of charge stations on the way.

I am finding so many broken CCS chargers in NV, that AC charging is now more useful to me.

BTW, I notice a large number of EV-GO CCS charge stations are down. I wonder what is going on there.

I have yet to see a broken CCS charger be repaired. I can name quite a few that have been down for around a year or more.  Such as Incline Village, NV, both at Donnor Summit, CA. Hawthorne, NV. Fallon, NV, Middlegate, NV.

I could ride my SS9- farther three years ago than I can today. At least my Experia can usually skip a broken charge station and get to the next.

More than 10,000 CCS stations now in the USA. But how many do not work?

There is 0% chance I would own an Energica if it only had a 3kW onboard and no DC charging. What a silly comparison.

To be fair, Energica's AC charger is 3.6 Kw.  not 3.

also, acting like the bike is somehow the issue when a charging station is down is pretty absurd.  You constantly complain about all the chargers being down on 'your route', have you ever talked to the owners of the places and asked them why, or what their plans on fixing them are, or do you just speculate that they'll never work again because it's just easier?

Instead of investing in 20 different bikes that you can leave at 30 different trap houses along your travel route, why not just invest in an electric truck and you can tow a trailer of batteries behind and a fast charger that way you'll never be stranded in reno ever again?

Make sure it has wifi though, that way you can post about it and keep us updated!

So you never owned an older Zero before you got into the charging businesses? I would still prefer the Energica just for the reverse!

The Harley LW has nothing going for it, IMAO. But a lot of this stuff depends on location and what you wanna use the bike for.

I fail to see how this relates, at all, to my statement.

Aaron

To be fair could you state if you have charged through a measuring device like a killowatt meter?  I can state that Husqvarna outdoor power equipment batteries seem to be drawing around 370 watts average until it cuts back when it is the 330 model.  The Makita charger jumps up and down so I can't comment and my Ktm seems to put out more than expected on normal and less on fast.

3.6 KW AC draw (which could contain useless apparent power, if you're not also checking the VA) or do you mean 3.6KW DC available to the battery? I do not recall seeing such a spec for any Energica.

And many fast chargers are owned by the property owner. When they are once out of warranty and breakdown, they are not worth repairing as they are unlikely get their money back for the repairs in any reasonable time and by then it could break down again. So they just let them rot away and will most likely will never be repaired.

And there are also the free fast chargers that were free to the state from a federal grant. They provide the money for the equipment and installation, but no money for maintenance. So when they break, they are not repaired.

Well, you mindlessly post vapid pedantic crap that really has nothing to do with many peoples questions, but are SURE to make it all about you somehow.  Well YOU do it this way, well when YOU went on your trip to Auburn last week etc. etc.  You post , often having nothing to do with the OP's situation, or really where the topic may have drifted to, but it absolutely tells about YOUR day, like everyone just can't wait to hear about your 267th update to the broken charger down the road from you.

I ask this guy about his bike and YOU answer for him,  what are you his fkn wife???

YOU sir, are an annoying asshole as well.  But hey, you get attention so all is good I guess.
Now that both our minds are known, I'll leave it at that,  said what I need to, no need to drag it any further.

You're saying I do what you're doing right now?

But should  I assume you mean like the question which asked what type of oil we use? If you were not so lazy,  you would have read the entire thread and noticed I already answered, it. And likewise, with all your other bullshit you do to get attention here.

Why do you want everybody here to think you're such an asshole?

Enjoy the attention you get for your nonsense asshole posts. But no more from me.  I will no longer read or reply to your nonsense.  It only destroys otherwise decent threads.

How about getting back on topic here?  I will no longer feed this rather obvious "Specter" troll.  I now have Specter on ignore. First time I have used it here. Now I do not have to see his BS.
