Please help me find a custom bypass kickstand sensor cable or a new sensor itself... My sensor is giving me hell and leaving me stranded miles away from home. Zero DS FZ MY14 2014.
Can't find any online dealer that has the part. Cheap options are preferred, I live in South Africa - Mozambique
And yes... It's the kickstand sensor error 45. Tried everything imaginable ( magnets, shacking, disconnect and reconnect... Etc...)

Whilst this is often a good solution, I thought (but could be wrong) that this won't work on the FX/FXS/FXE and could damage it. As far as I remember, it's a hall effect sensor and needs a magnet fixed near it instead.

I hear that can damage things in Zeros--so don't try it. Can blow out one of the modules. I have seen messages here in the past about that. It's more than just a simple switch.

so it's looking for a voltage return then? There are no variables really in it, either the thing is up or down. You are interrupting the field or you are not. What is it expecting on it's feedback loop? There is probably 5 volt or so to power the hall transistor, ok so where does it drain to to provide the signal? 250 ohm resistor might work?
this seems a really stupid way of detecting a kickstand TBH. Hall Effect's are really notorious for being sensitive and very easy to fuck up, 'ie poke a hole in the field'. This almost sounds like an intentional point of failure so they can cash in on selling the repair parts.

I don't recall how it works, I only remember what I have read in this forum about the sidestand switch WRT it blows the MBB or some other module when the sidestand switch is bypassed with a wire or whatever. I have not dealt with the problem myself. But IIRC, it's a light switch of some weird type.

I can't imagine a 2.2Kohm resistor could cause any damage to the MBB as long as the leads aren't shorted across two pins by accident. That may be worth a try.

I know its a stupid question for who understands better eletricity... But can I use a multimeter with the 3 wires to check wich one is the ground, the positive 5v and the signal without harming the mbb right? Then I connect the signal with the ground with the resistor, right?

Not a stupid question. But be aware that using a multi-meter, if you even manage to make contact, it's very easy to short things out. I've stranded myself in a foreign country doing that. You can stick in pieces of insulated wire and measure across those. But honestly, the signals may be square waves or something in which case the multi-meter might only cause confusion.
If it's like the 2016 models, you've got Yellow/Black, Red/Black and Orange/Black wires, where Orange/Black seems to be the ground. There are only 3 combinations to try and a 2.2K resistor is high enough that nothing will be damaged.
