Title: LAND Moto District
Post by: Richard230 on December 04, 2022, 04:28:44 AM
Here is an article about what appears to be a hand-built small electric motorcycle with aspirations to ramp up production to 5K units a year. The LAND Moto District. Fast enough to take on the freeway for a few miles if you have the largest battery they offer. A pretty nice looking bike, but the price is kind of steep:  https://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/land-moto-district-first-ride-and-factory-tour

Any Zero motorcycle would make a lot more sense than any of those, especially for the prices they are asking.

Agreed. Startups aren't going to bring the bacon here. E-motorcycles need large volumes, and these guys currently have 15 employees (never mind about "plans" to get to 36K/year. Zero, the biggest vendor worldwide, of actual e-motorcycles, not 50cc or 125 scooter equivalents, sells in the low 4 digits/year.
