There is a problem everywhere with CCS chargers. Not enough of them and can’t be trusted to work. I just wish Tesla would open their chargers in North America and sell an adapter. That would solve the problem but could slow the deployment of new CCS chargers.

I hear their newest V4 chargers will have a CCS cable installed. You won't even need an adapter.
I know the Tesla to CCS adapter is being designed, I just hope it works on all the older Tesla Super chargers.
For those who need CCS, See here (https://evadept.com/tesla-supercharger-to-ccs-adapter-guide/)and get on the waiting list. I am on it. Also, download the Tesla app. It has a "Charge Your Non-Tesla". A bit tricky to find on the app, but I can explain how to get to it to those who have the app on a Smartphone already.

I own a Tesla and have seen the charge your none Tesla on the app. I hope Tesla will open the chargers soon. Thanks for the info about the adapter.

I also own a Tesla, but I never use the app. I use the key fob with the key card for backup.
I couldn't find the "charge your non-Tesla". I had to ask in the Tesla Forum how to get to it. It isn't under "charging" where it should be, IMO. I thought it was buried in a rather stupid place.
I almost never charge my Tesla on the road. But I sure would like to be able to use the Tesla Superchargers for CCS.

I think the Tesla -> CCS adapters are already available from Lectron at least. I'm sure there are other companies manufacturing these too.

I think you're confused with the Tesla Car adapter for CCS fast chargers.
If there were an adapter that will convert Tesla Superchargers to CCS for my Energica motorcycle, I would own it already, even if it cost a couple of thousand bucks.

I saw an article today that 1,920 Ford dealers signed up to be model e dealerships. That will add 3,579 new public CCS chargers by the end of 2023 to use.

As a Tesla owner, I hate the idea of opening up the Tesla charging network to everyone else at its current charger density. One of the reasons I keep buying Teslas is that their charging network works and is well maintained.
The problem with opening up their network is not everyone has the charging points in the same location as Tesla does. Not to mention most of the charging cables are only about 8' long. I've already seen what a cluster truck this can be in Europe, I am not in a hurry for it to come to the US. Since Tesla has the charging port in the same location for all cars, you can clearly tell which stalls are open before you pull in. This is actually very important.
For Tesla charging, to get max charging rate, you don't want to basically be "sharing a charger". So if you pull up to charger 2 and the A side is occupied, if you go to the B side, the person in 2A will have their charging rate halved and yours will be too. I can't tell you how many times I've had some moron pull up to the charger next to me, when 6 others are open, and I watch my charge time double. I usually end up pulling to another stall if I have more than a few minutes left to charge.
My other thought is if you bought one of those cars knowing they had a crappy charging network, then eat your own dog food so to speak. I already have enough idiots to contend with at oversubscribed Tesla charger who have no idea of charging network etiquette as it is. Add in all the other new BEV owners who have no clue how to charge anyway and all it will do is make the charging experience even worse than it can be at times. Think of holidays on major roads. I deal with many things I hate about Teslas just so I can have a typically great charging network.
As an owner of other BEVs, I'd love for the Tesla charging network to be open. I'd even be willing to pay a substantial premium for the use of it. An overpriced charger that works is far better than a cheaper one that doesn't. Hopefully Tesla could use the money to fund expanding their charging network.

I'm a Tesla owner, and I still want them to open up their Supercharger network to all EVs. Sure, there will be issues with folks having to park in weird spots but that's just growing pains. The added revenue Tesla will allow them to open up more Supercharger locations, and hopefully they'll be pull-through.

I also own a Tesla and of all my five BEVs (soon to be six when I get my Experia) my Tesla is the one I charge on the road the very least of all. Less than one time per year since I owned it in 2018.
But if I could use their Superchargers on my Energica, I would be using them often. I realize in some places that may not be a great idea. There are a few very busy locations (all in CA AFAIK) and times where Teslas have to wait.
It would be nice if they also had a few J-1772's for those who need to wait. And that would be great for our Zeros. One thing nice about the J-1772 is that it works with every EV made in one way or another. Worse case is needing a cheap adapter.

It will, but not desirable ones. Who wants to go to an auto dealer to charge up? No coffee shop or anything near it, and if you go inside they'll try to sell you a Mach E they won't have in stock until next year.

Not always totally true. When I rode my Energica to Hawthorne, NV, (May 21, 2021 (https://www.plugshare.com/location/19329)) I stopped by the Chevy dealer in Yerington, NV on the way back and asked if I could use their slow 3KW AC charge station while I walked a couple of blocks for lunch at a Mexican Restaurant. That extra hour of a slow charge was enough to get me to the DC fast chargers at Silver Springs.
The employees were so friendly and helpful, I want back a few days later to buy their 2022 shiny new red Chevy Bolt without even checking closer to home. And no, they didn't try to get me to buy anything. I had to come to them later to even take a good look at their Chevy Bolt.
Since then, the city has installed a few J-1772's. If you don't mind paying 5 bucks for the first hour. The most expensive I have ever seen for a slow charge.
In the Reno area, we are bombarded with free J-1772's. But things change when getting out of the Reno/CC/Minden/Garnerville area.
OTOH, I used a free CCS DC fast charger in Hawthorne, NV (which has now been broken for a long time).
