Just noticed they updated the configurator on the Energica website for the U.S.

They have the 3 color options, some option packs, etc.

Yelp it brings some questions to what is coming standard on the launch edition. I do like what I am seeing though.

This might be a dumb question, but do you know why they have both Chademo and CCS as options for fast charging? Is it targeting Japan? IIRC they use Chademo mostly right?

I can’t see any reason for a Chademo option in the USA as it’s a dying standard here. Maybe after Tesla opens their charging network in the states to none Tesla’s they will offer that as an option.

The older Japanese cars in the USA are CHAdeMO. But even now, I often see Tesla's charging at Wal*Marts with the CHAdeMO with a CHAdeMO to Tesla adapter. But the newer Japanese cars in the USA are CCS. CHAdeMO is slowly dying out. In fact, I have only seen Teslas use CHAdeMO.

So CHAdeMO is slowly dying out here in the USA.

What are the details on the $1095 Warranty Extension 5 years?
If you click on it there are no real details. Is it an extension of 5 years of the battery making it an 8 year warranty? Does it cover the whole bike (least likely) or is it just a total of 5 years adding 2 years to the 3 year base battery warranty?

What does the warranty cover?
What ist the auxiliary power option? (I‘m really hoping for a 12V outlet that supports 100W, for fog lights or similar)

This totals at 30,743 EUR which is close enough to the Launch Edition price 30,451 EUR. I can‘t display any other currency than Euros but I assume it will be similar in US.
I would have loved to see a different Launch Edition: add in a center stand (for chain maintenance), maybe the GPS bracket. They could have dropped the ergal screw set, for me that‘s not worth the money. But I will stay with my order and already asked my dealer if he can throw in the warranty (conditions tbd), center stand and GPS bracket. Usually those options also can be ordered afterwards for the same price. On my Ribelle, even the heated grips were added later on.
Any ideas on my initial questions?

What GPS do they expect to use with the bracket? AFAIK, almost all GPSes come with a 12V adapter and Energica only has USB. Or do they have a 12V outlet on the Experica?
Not that I am overly concerned, I can get to the 12V one way or the other.
I don't use heated grips on electric bikes. I use battery operated heated gloves if I am going to ride electric in the cold. But I mostly ride my ICE bikes during cold weather.

You can see the extra GPS bracket in the configurator. It seems like an additional lateral bar beneath the windscreen adjust bar where you can fix the typical RAM-Mount brackets for Garmin or TomTom devices. Quite handy, I think, because the upper adjust bar stays clear from any devices. A Y-cable will do the trick and you have 12V for the GPS.
I'm living in Germany with typical temperatures below 10degC from November till March/April, Dec/Jan also below freezing point 0degC. I am using heated grips since 30 years. Fits my use case quite good (not so much the Energise ones as they are the coldest ones I have ever seen).

Californian here. We are absolutely spoiled babies when it comes to weather. Many of us only own 1 jacket that is meant for both summer and winter. It's not quite cool and breathable enough for the hottest parts of summer, and it's not quite warm enough for the coolest parts of winter. But we're too lazy to purchase a "winter" separate "summer" jacket. We MIGHT own two sets of gloves. Maybe.

Well, I live in Auburn, CA and here in Reno, NV. Reno is 100 miles/161 km NE of Auburn. But a large difference in the winter weather. It is 39(°F or °C) right now here in Reno but is 62°F/17°C in Auburn.
Summer weather is about the same hot temps at each place. Often over 100°F / 38°C.
So for here in Reno, I need all the cold weather stuff and a decent cold weather bike. My best cold weather bike is my Triumph Trophy SE with the heated seat, heat drips, traction control and ABS for possible ice on the road. And can adjust the windshield as I am riding.
Electric bikes are lousy in cold weather, so I ride mostly my ICE bikes this time of year when in Reno. I will still ride electric in the Auburn area, but I have only my Zero DS in Auburn with the smaller battery for now.

It looks like Energica has updated the website again. They removed the auxiliary power option and the extended warranty now says it extends the battery warranty to 5 years total.
