If this is for real, (https://evadept.com/tesla-supercharger-to-ccs-adapter-guide/) will it work on an Energica?
I already own a Tesla, and I know how the billing works, so I don't see how this gadget is even possible. The Tesla SuperChager will recognize my Tesla and know it's me. But how is the Tesla SuperCharger going to know who it is without the Tesla?

I can’t see why it couldn’t be real. If the standard is a simple as requiring an adaptor to allow CCS then that would be a great thing.
I’ve charged both my Tesla and non-Tesla on Superchargers in the UK. We have another section to the Tesla app called ‘charge my non-Tesla’ and you simply choose the stall and location and away you go!

I don't see how this can work with non CCS equiped Tesla SuC. How would you pay for a charge?
And even if it's possible be aware that currently only V3 chargers (up to 250 kW) are compatible with Energica, V2 ones simply don't work.
For example in EU we have CCS and pilots (and in some countries all) SuC open to other brands. To charge other brands we have to pay using the Tesla app. For that the app has to list that specific site as open to other brands. Next steps are to manually select the correct charger by number and so on. But if Tesla doesn't list that location as open to other brands you simply can't continue.
Similarly they do close some locations for other brands when those are too busy to protect services for Tesla owners. When that happens the chargers are gone from the map temporarily.

Yeah, I don't get how this would work with the current system. I know they are working on opening the system. Maybe once they allow that these types of devices would work.

What does the "1" mean in "CCS1"?
I assume it means version 1. So, what is version 2 and 3?, What is compatible with what?
And what do we have here in the USA? Is CCS different in the EU?

CCS1: North America and South Korea. AKA J1772 combo
CCS2: Everywhere else. AKA Type 2 combo.
Japan still primarily uses CHAdeMO, and China commonly uses GB/T which is very similar to the former.

It's just a paperweight for now, and will probably stay that way.
Based on the FAQ on Tesla's webpage https://www.tesla.com/support/non-tesla-supercharging#tesla-app (https://www.tesla.com/support/non-tesla-supercharging#tesla-app) about the pilot program they rolled out in parts of Europe, the Tesla app is required to initiate and pay for a charging session. Since the Tesla stations in Europe have both Tesla & CCS2 cables the hardware is already there to let other car brands onto their network. Should only require changes in software.
If Tesla keeps their word and opens the US network up to other vehicles the stations would need to be updated with CCS cables or they could provide their own adapters.
I don't think they would just flip a switch and activate all their DC stations for use with 3rd party adapters. They have shown time and time again they are very protective of their supercharger network. My bet is they will only turn on the specific stations for charging non Tesla vehicles in their app after they have done whatever conversion process is decided on.

I'm in France and it works flawlessly. I've charged my Taycan on V3 chargers without any issue. (we use CCS)
