Please correct me if I am wrong, but for example the FX was not changed (apart from a tft display, which displays less information) for a long time and the price in 2019 was 12000 Euro.
For a 25% price increase I would expect a larger battery, faster charging, etc.

The SR/F was such a quantum leap for Zero when it reached the market in the summer of 2019. Since then, a full three years later, we basically only got a fairing (SR/S), some accessories (LED signals), grueling firmware updates (Cypher Store) and a battery increase of 20%. Comparing that with how Energica Motor has progressed over the same time period, I let you draw your own conclusions.

I've enjoyed my Zeros so much over the years and I've never had anything but great interaction between my bike my dealer and Zero HQ.
I think the launch of the DSRX bike will be in September which will give us a whole new bike, so there is that.
On one hand we hear how battery costs have dropped so much in the last few years it's just disappointing to see the Gen 2 bikes go up so much in price when I had expected them to go down.

Battery prices may've gone down, but with the current world situation I'm sure the other parts and their shipping costs have gone up dramatically.

there were no major events between 2019/2020 and still their prices went up from 12000 to 13000 Euro when I bought my FXS.

The Euro is also down significantly. 18 months ago is was $1.22 = 1 Euro. Today it is almost at parity.

They are indeed very much at the mercy of exchange rates and other macroeconomic factors, which is a shame, because they're buggered. I can't see them shifting any SR/Fs at those prices.

Zero uses what are essentially bespoke pouch cells, not the cylindrical cells almost all EV cars use. Those articles almost always talk about those. I'd expect the battery price for Zero has remained constant or increased.
At least with the new batteries they're rumored to be using the same cells as Daimler, and can order more of them, which should help their prices. We'll see when the Cypher III bikes come out.
I agree on the US/Euro rate inflating pricing in the EU, that sucks. The DSR MSRP in dollars went from 16195 to 17995, which seems about right due to supply chain issues and inflation.

Also, I think it's Zero using the same cells as Daimler but the other way around, no?
Zero has been using Farasis cells for a long time now, and there recently was talk about the investment of Daimler to Farasis, no?

I guess Cypher Store and DSR/X. Those are to be revealed in September. So would count as new for 2023

In the U.S. more manufacturers and EV models use pouch or prismatic cells, but Tesla uses cylindrical cells. Tesla sells about 70% of all EVs in the U.S. However, worldwide I think they have more like 15% of the market, largely because of China.
