Didn’t see anything in a search so I thought I’d start a thread. Who knows, if I find some options I might play Guinea pig. I like the light output from the stock lights but for me the adjustment and the presence of a rather large “dark band” between the high and low is a real problem. I own a cocktail lounge here in Ohio so I do quite a bit of night riding often heading home at 1-2 in the morning on hilly country roads. I’ve adjusted the light so the low beam is pointing down as much as possible which makes the high beam useable. The problem is the “dark band” between high and low. When cresting a hill it’s a real problem because the other side of the hill is often in the dark because of it. I find it to be a real safety issue. I can’t point the light any lower, it’s out of adjustment, so I’m looking for options. Anyone shim the stock brackets to point the lows lower? I’d be fine just using the high as my primary light and the low to serve as a daytime running light. Or anyone just replace the whole dang thing with something better?

Instead of changing the headlights, would adding auxiliary lights to the forks work?

I do a lot of night riding and installed a pair of those Sealed3 lights on my FX, both are Lo/Hi Combos and work great.
The low beam has a real nice stepped cut off and the High beam is basically a light bar in the housing. It lights up everything, including all the trees overhanging the roads.
I'm not sure how well that would fit the SR/F though. Even a single one might look small on the bike.
A user on the discord used this setup and it looked really good.

Edit: Morimoto also has other lights that could probably fit the bike such as the Sealed7 for example.
There are literally too many options online, just gotta find them all. And a mask/housing to make it look nice.

Thanks for the info fellas. My SR/F is in the shop due to “magic charging” at the moment but once I’ve got it back I think I’ll do a little wrenching to see what I’m working with. I hear the latest thing is adaptive headlights. May consider pairing one of these with a cafe racer headlight fairing to dress it up.

Since then I replaced those lights with a more powerful set that's been on Amazon for a while. Their item description is:
"Auxbeam Round LED Pods 4 inch 72W, Off Road Super Bright Driving Spot Lights Offroad Light Bar Ditch Auxiliary Bumper A-Pillar Spotlight for Trucks Jeep ATV Motorcycle"
These are not D.O.T. so use at your own risk. But they are insanely bright. I only use them when I'm not facing any traffic.
