Post by: DonTom on June 04, 2022, 01:24:56 PM
Has other people here noticed a bug in this forum software, where if a line is copied and pasted here. or when a line is moved, the font becomes so small that it cannot even be read? Below is an example when I copy this paragraph to Notepad and back here:

I have not figured out how to select a portion of a post to quote on here.  Or do like multi quote that works on other forums.  Obviously, others can do it easily.

Just yesterday I watched a video of the Damon factory build and typed comments in notepad and pasted that into the reply box just like now and it worked fine.

I can usually force it to normal by changing the font after the text is made too small to read. But it is still an irritating  forum bug.

It is almost definitely your computer, not the forum.

So what happens if you take this message, copy it to notepad and then copy it back here to post?  Have you even tried it?  I will do that right now (see below). And right now, I am using my laptop from a restaurant, not the computer I use at home.  See below:

The old forum software had no trace of this bug.

Also, sometimes this happens where the size thingies show:

Interesting. I don't see how this issue can only effect my log-ins and nobody else. Regardless if I post from Reno or Auburn or from this portable computer I am now using.

As an IT person I suspect your computer(s) may benefit greatly from a fresh clean installation of your operating system as the current one is likely corrupt.

An OS re-installation is very unlikely to be needed and a total pain if there's a lots of other stuff to re-install afterwards.

(This is just testing copy and paste myself.)

In all four of my most used computers, on both Win 10 and Win 11?

I cannot believe nobody else has this issue here--and BTW, ONLY in this forum, nowhere else at all ever. And here, only since the last forum update. See this message below:
