Title: OEM part references for SS9+ transmission
Post by: ALCLCF on May 19, 2022, 07:58:24 PM
Hello,

Need to have my transmission replaced (only 15000km, ouch). Dealership disappeared in my country and my usual shop is asking me to buy the parts (so no mistakes happen). Anyone got the list of OEM parts and references for the transmission (sprocket's, chain) and any other bits required for a ss9+?

I've seen some people who did this to change gear ratio, perhaps searching would reveal that info?

If you just need sprockets and chains it shouldn't be difficult. The front sprocket is Aprilia compatible. If you have the regular SS9+ you'll want a 16 tooth version. If you have the RS model you'll want the 15 tooth version. Here's an example. (https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/supersprox-front-sprocket-aprilia-bmw?sku_id=1296317)

Chain is a good quality 525 chain. Get a 120 link version and cut it down to length.

Rear sprocket is compatible with all Marchesini or racing style 5 hole wheels. Get the 44 tooth version. Here's an example. (https://sprocketcenter.com/i-30497787-superlite-92630rx-rsx-525-pitch-black-steel-rear-race-sprocket-bst-marchesini-oz-rotobox-core-moto-titax.html)

Waiting for the OEM parts. Found them in stock in a French online store.
