So I called the dealer in my area looking for a set of crash bars, and parking brake for my DS. I was told the parking brake is unobtanium and the crash bars often come in with the wrong brackets. Has anyone seen an aftermarket set of crash bars that would work on the DS? Also is it common for the brackets to get shipped in an ill-fitting configuration? Has anyone seen a place where the parking brake could be purchased separately? Is this dealer simply shooing customers away so they don't have to deal with the Zero parts department?

You can get the parking brake along with many other parts from AF1, although that specific part has a 3-4 week wait time. Unless you specifically need the rear brake locked I'd just go with a strap around the front brake lever.

Aren't the Zero police bikes DS models and don't they use crash bars? Perhaps checking with AF1 Racing would be worth a try. They seem to be able to source just about every Zero part. When I bought my DC-DC converter their computer ordering system said it would take 3-4 weeks to arrive, but it actually arrived in 2 weeks. :)

AF1 does have the crash bars, the same 3-4 week wait time listed.

Thank You. I don't mind waiting so I think ordering from AF1 seems to be the best route. On another note. Has anyone elese had issues with the unofficial zero manual site being offline?

Yeah I went to go on it yesterday and saw it was down.

I managed to get a print out of the aftermarket page a week or so ago. if it comes back up I will archive the lot of it.
