SS9+. One of the mirrors does not stay in position. (Loose at the mirror meets stalk ball joint).  No guidance found in the owner's manual.

Every time I ride my Ego, I have to move my left side mirror so I can fit it in my garage. I also have the problem where my mirror loosens after a while. There's a piece of plastic covering an allen screw, pop that off, and use an allen key to tighten it up.

On the old diamond mirrors Zero had they got loose pretty quick too.
If you can pull the mirror away from the ball joint, I don't know how the SS9 setup is maybe it can't.
I cut off about a third of a closed cell ear plug and shoved it in between the inside of the mirror and the ball.  It expands giving it more friction but it can still be moved.  At least on the Zero.

Are the mirrors on the ss9+ used on any other make of bike?

Sorry for the delay in this reply.

There is a M6 (5mm allen) bolt that secures the mirror portion to the arm portion or the mirror. In addition there are 2 small allen bolts (2 or 2.5mm) on the underside of the mirror, these provide tension to the ball and socket assembly.

thanks, the 5mm bolt was the issue. I think.
