Can somebody help me with my Zero SR/F 2019.
I always store my bike in a heated basement over winter ~4 month and have not have problem with that before. But this year nothing happened when I turned the key.
I found the first problem, the small 12V LiFePO4 under the seat was down to ~2V. I changed the battery using a CteK LiFePO4 12V changer.
when I connected the battery (now at ~13V) the bike was starting up, but
- it show Error 27, 28, 31 and 58 in the display.
- Nothing happens if I try to connect the Type2 charger for the main battery
- I cannot hear the "main relay" click I turn the key.
- If I leave the bike on it is shutting down after ~1min.
- I can clear the errors but they just come again next time I start the bike
I have tried to do a "hard reset" by unpluging the 2 connectors to the MBB. That did not solve the problem.
I have connected a serial/UART to the OBD port. It give me this log when I start.

Do somebody have an idear of why my Zero SR/F is not working and what I can do about it?

Those are very similar codes to what I keep getting on my brand new 2021 SR/S: Error Codes 25, 27, 28, 31, and 43. I'm not sure why you get 58 and I get 43, but the rest of them seem to have something to do with low voltage on the 12V battery.
Frustratingly, Zero says it takes 2 weeks to ship a new 12V battery from California to the East Coast. This battery is a little thing the size of a pack of cigarettes. It would easily fit in a FedEx envelope that could be shipped overnight.
Even more frustratingly, after you replace or recharge the battery, the bike seems to somehow remember the previous issues (the codes were in "pending" status perhaps?), and the error codes come back. Or maybe whatever it is that caused the 12V battery to go dead in the first place is still an issue. My dealer initially blamed it on outdated firmware, but this happened again the day after I got it back from the dealer with a new 12V battery and all current firmware. I reset the codes and got it to turn on, but then the codes came back once more a few days later, and the bike refused to move.
I'm grateful for the input from this forum, which seems to suggest these codes are a fairly common problem, especially after winter storage, but eventually, they seem to get resolved somehow. People here don't generally think Zero motorcycles are a flaky and unreliable brand, even though that has been my experience so far.

Do you have a way to measure the charge state of the main battery directly? I'm no expert on decoding Zero debug messages, but I'd think either the BMS isn't communicating to the MBB or the battery voltage has dropped below the level at which the BMS will close the contactor.

What is the output of the status command?
Ideally we'd want the bms logs, but the only way to get those is to go to a dealer.
What FW are you running ?

I cannot find a way to reset the BMS on the SR/F battery. Is there way to do it.
The system is shuting down before I can access it with bluetooth and the menu never shows up from the OBD access.
The display indicate SOC of ~15% but not sure. Is there some place I can messure with a voltmeter?

You have to remove the BMS cover (four bolts if I remember correctly) to expose the board, on which you will have to press a tiny reset button, next to a green LED.
Once you are looking at the board, you can’t miss the little button if you have enough light.

I found the BMS reset. it was 8 bolts ;)
The red led is bliking. When I presse sw1. The green led 1 turns on and green led 2 is bliking for some time before the red led start bliking again.
It did not solve the error 31 or 58.

That red blinking light is not good, your battery voltage may be too low, and the BMS will not connect the charger. I believe that the dealer can evaluate the voltage, and if it's safe can force the bike to charge. I may be wrong, but in case that I am not wrong, you should try to get it to a dealer ASAP, maybe the voltage isn't too low yet.

Dealers can't override that.I see four possibilities.
1. It's a software fault that's been fixed and a fw update at the dealer will allow it to charge.
2. It's a BMS issue and a BMS replacement will allow it to charge.
3. Your battery output is actually too low to charge or a cell has crossed the safety threshold. The status command should tell you battery voltage and low cell voltage. If this is true, you'll need a new battery.
4. There's some other BMS fault in the BMS logs that needs to be resolved.
We're right about the time every year where the dealershp I work with gets similar stories of people leaving their bikes over winter and coming back to dead batteries. Hopefully its just the 12V but sometimes its the big one. Please please check the bike every month or so as Zero recommends, there are far too many bugs to leave it alone too long.

Hello. I have a similar problem. BMS flashes red and does not accept charging. maybe you found a solution to the problem? how did the dealer solve the problem?
